The new formula builder is a revamped version of the so-far existing formular builder with a lot of benefits for everyone who enjoys building and improving flows.

Although the current/past version of the formular builder already provided a rich set of features and possibilities we still saw room for improvement by:

removing unnecessary click work
leading users quicker to the data sets they want to work with
providing instant formula feedback
working with preview data (not yet implemented)

What is new about the formula builder?

No more "current item" selection necessary, you start immediately in the "source data set"
No more current item selection necessary, you start immediately in the source dataset
Better separation of the selected datasets and other data sources that are available in the flow
Better management of other datasets allowing you to eg. use operators for your entire table (eg. to create a sum of all adclicks)
Simply use symbols for mathematical equations such as +, -, /, *, =, ≠, >, < instead of typing in an operator such as math.div()
Benefit from being able to add operators at the end of an equation, so called suffix operators. For instance, you already picked your data source and realize you forgot to add the "sum" operator before it to calculate the sum of all values. With this new type of operators you can correct this mistake easily by attaching the operator at the end, instead of deleting everything and having to start from the beginning

What is the formula builder?
